your site back links

To make more effective marketing decisions Microsolve's clients have been asking how to find out where their website traffic is coming from in an attempt to drive more web traffic.

Today Microsolve would like to outline how you can track where your web traffic is coming from with Google Analytics and introduce you to simple steps help drive traffic.

  1. Firstly you must login to Google Analytics and select your website.
  2. On the left click on Acquisition then click All Referrals.
  3. On the right pane is a list of all your sources of web traffic and a corresponding number of visitors referred.

These incoming links to your website or webpage are known as backlinks, incoming links or inbound links. From a search engine optimisation (SEO) point of view the more quality backlinks you have to your website from industry related blogs, business directories, partner, sponsors and government websites, the higher you will rank in Google Search which will make it easier for your prospective clients to find you.

Some action steps that will help you rank better today include:

  1. Register your business on True Local.
  2. Ensure you have a presence on Google Business
  3. Ask organisations that you sponsor to link your website on their website.
  4. Get listed on Yellow Pages
